Thailand-based Australian striker Mark Bridge has been ruled out for four to six months after sustaining a left knee injury.
The 31-year-old's Thai club Chiangrai United confirmed the news on Thursday afternoon in a major blow ahead of the 2017 season.
Bridge joined Chiangrai in May after four seasons with Western Sydney Wanderers.
The striker scored seven goals in 14 appearances for the Thai club following his move.
The 2017 Thai League is due to get underway on February 11.
