As for his style, he's promising: “I've always been an entertainer - to do things that people don't expect.”

And he'll be invoking the spirit of a former England great when he walks out on the SFS in the NSW derby on Sunday.

“I've always liked how Chris Waddle plays. He was an entertainer. Hopefully I can do that and score some goals," he said.

“Sydney are a big team and they don't deserve to be where they are so there's no better way than to bounce back against the side that is top of the league.”

The former England U/21 international is sure the coaching ructions this week will not affect the side in the NSW derby this Sunday.

“You just got to get on with it,” the former England U/21 said this morning. “It won't affect the lads on the pitch.

"It's a fresh start and in the two sessions we've had under Kossie, the lads have been outstanding and are looking sharp."

The former Leeds United and Sunderland says the A-League has impressed him from the limited game time he's seen this last week.

“I knew it would be a good standard. I haven't come here for an easy ride.”

As for Bridge, Corica added: “He's a proven goalscorer so I see no reason why he can't score goals here.”
