Sydney FC goal scorer Josh Brillante has hailed his side's character after grafting out a 2-2 draw with rivals Western Sydney Wanderers after trailing by two goals.
Brillante scored the equaliser on 61 minutes from a counter-attack after Wanderers raced to a 2-0 lead inside the opening half hour.
"The boys fought hard and showed good character," Brillante told Fox Sports.
"It's unfortunate we couldn't get the win but we're looking forward to the next game on Friday."

Sydney almost claimed all three points when Matt Simon pushed a header wide in stoppage-time.
"It was very tight at the end," Brillante said.
"Simmo just missed a header whic was unlucky.
"We came from 2-0 down so we grafted it out and got the point."
Sydney FC are next in action at home to Perth Glory on Friday night.
