Speaking at today's launch of EA Sports' FIFA 09, Brosque told au.fourfourtwo.com that a play-off against the best from each of the other A-League clubs would be a hit with the players, many of whom take their PlayStation and X-Box very seriously.

"It'd be a great idea. It's about time. Get the best from each club, I'd be into it."

Australia's leading video gamer Stephen Coorey attended today's launch and the gamer-mad Brosque said he was keen to test his skills against the champ.

"I noticed he's an X-Box player so I'd like to get him out of his comfort zone onto the PlayStation," he joked.

But Brosque was serious about not underestimating Adelaide United this Saturday in a crucial A-League clash at the SFS.

"We can't be thinking about them coming off a long flight from Japan. We have to put that out of our mind and approach it like any other game."\

And Brosque, who turns 25 in a few weeks, said Sydney was still short of being at their best.

"And I still think we have a fair bit of work ahead of us to realise our potential. We're still not the finished article but we're working on it.
"This wil be another huge test for us."

As for Brosque's Socceroo hopes, while he's hopeful of getting into the national squad during this campaign, he said Brazil 2014 was his ultimate goal.

"I'll be at my peak in terms of age so with perhaps some players retiring, I may get my chance during the qualifiers. I just have to keep working hard and performing.

"It would be awesome to make a World Cup in Brazil, particularly as I have South American heritage."
