Remarkably, Brosque remains as the top scorer at Suncorp Stadium and even outshines Roar’s own attackers.

Brosque has netted five times at the Brisbane stadium while Roar’s Matt McKay has three goals and Simon Lynch and Reinaldo have two each.

“I’m looking forward to getting up there because I’ve managed to get a few goals at Suncorp,” Brosque told au.fourfourtwo.com.

“Hopefully it’s another positive for me up there. I get a few boos and insults but that’s expected, it’s good.”

Brosque has scored once this season and is adamant that Sydney remains confident, despite being at the bottom of the ladder. Roar is in third spot with one win and two losses.

“I don’t think there’s an actual reason for us being where we are. It’s just that things aren’t going our way at the moment and balls aren’t going in for us,” said Brosque.

“Teams are also scoring good goals against us so it’s just a rut that teams go through every season so hopefully this is ours and we can get out of it.

“If we get this result we’ll get back into the top four depending on how the other results go.

"If we lose this game we’ll find ourselves a bit far away from the pack and we can’t afford to do that so it makes this game all the more important.”

Brosque also weighed into the recent claim that Sydney FC is an arrogant side saying: “We don’t think we are the best, we think we have good enough players all around the park to be able to compete for first or second spot so that’s the aim for us.

"We want to get back to where we think the players in our squad should be.”

Meanwhile Roar midfielder Massimo Murdocca is tipped to return to the field for the clash after recovering from a thigh injury. The match will also be Frank Farina’s 100th as a coach at national level.
