Brisbane has suffered an expected blow in their quest to rejuvenate an ageing squad, losing promising fullback Corey Brown.
The versatile defender, who also played centrally at times due to Brisbane's injury-ravaged squad, has departed the club.
Brown, who was awarded the 2017 Gary Wilkins medal at the Roar, was formally approached by Melbourne Victory in January.
To soften the blow, Brisbane have recently re-signed another promising young left-back, Connor O'Toole, to a long term contract.
O'Toole greatly impressed over the last few weeks, helping lead John Aloisi's side to an unlikely finals berth.
