Sydney FC won 3-0 against Sydney Tigers (formerly Apia Leichhardt) in their latest trial game on Wednesday night with Brosque bagging all three at Lambert Park.

John Aloisi was given his first run out of pre-season, coming on for the last half an hour and planting a header just wide of the left post.

There was also 45 minutes for three triallists, including former Central Coast winger Nicky Rizzo, English defender James Vaughan while Uruguayan Gustavo Latronico was the third 'hopeful' to be given 45 minutes action.

But the night belonged to Brosque who wrapped up his hat-trick while some latecomers were still making their way into the ground.

First he tucked home an Adam Casey cross from the right on five minutes, moments later  the second followed a slip by the home keeper and was finished into an empty net from distance while the third capped off a tremendous flowing move by the visitors on eight minutes.

Speaking exclusively to au.fourfourtwo.com after the game at Lambert Park, the striker said: "It all happened pretty quickly.

"The first one was sort of a mis-hit but thanks to the wet pitch it went in anyway. The keeper miscleared and I was there to finish the second one and the third was the end of great work by the boys.

"I haven't got many and that's definitely my quickest hat-trick. We could have eased off at 3-0 but that's not what these games are about. It's about us improving week to week and I think we've done that.

"As long as we continue to gel quickly, that's the main thing. It's great to have these games against good opposition."

He added: "On a personal level, it's great to get some goals so early in the pre-season. I was also happy to get 90 minutes under my belt after 60 last week and 45 the week before.

"It's good to know the hard work we're putting in is paying off. It's early days but all the players have really stepped up their game this year."

Brosque could have ended the night with even more goals. He was just off target with a free-kick, was then denied by the Tigers keeper while both Brendan Gan and Chris Payne went close.

As for Aloisi, he was in the right place on 72 minutes to meet a cross from the left but put his header wide of the post.

The Sydney FC marquee man said: "It was good. I thought the team played well and we could have won by more. We're improving all the time. I enjoyed it. I should have put my chance away but it's about getting into those positions to score them."
