Wright is off-contract at Preston at the end of the 2016/17 season and has yet to pen a new deal.

The centre back has spent his whole career at the Lilywhites, after leaving Melbourne as a teenager, and has made more than 200 appearances at the Championship club.

Speculation is growing that Wright will sign with fellow Championship side Bristol City.

Preston want the defender to stay, with club manager Simon Grayson telling the BBC last month: "We'd like to have him tied down, he's been good for us, but the football club has been very good to him as well.

"I'm sure there'll be some more talks. It's something we'll try and resolve. I think Bailey owes the club a lot. But whatever outcome will be, will be."

The 24-year old played 90 minutes in the Lilywhites' recent 1-0 win over Burton Albion.

Wright has 12 caps for the Socceroos after making his debut in 2014.
