The Courier Mail reported Broich is struggling with a groin injury and his Roar teammate Rocky Visconte confirmed the German was battling to be ready for the game which could all but confirm Brisbane as A-League premiers.

"Thomas is not 100 per cent and it's looking like from the shape (of the team at training) that I could get my first start," Visconte told The Courier Mail.

"I'll be ready. It's just about me getting my chance now and taking it. It's up to me."

Visconte, who is originally from South Australia, would be a decent replacement but Broich's absence would be compounded also by the unavailability of Matt McKay who is jetting off with the Socceroos for the Asian Cup.
