Socceroos striker Alex Brosque made it two goals from as many J.League games with a strike in Shimizu S-Pulse's impressive 2-0 win over Joshua Kennedy's Nagoya Grampus on Sunday.
Brosque, who scored the winner in a World Cup qualifier against Thailand last month, netted Shimizu's second goal in the victory over title contenders Nagoya.
Genki Omae had put Shimizu ahead on 73 minutes, before the former Sydney FC man doubled their advantage with six minutes of normal time to play.
The Australia international squeezed his shot past Nagoya keeper Seigo Narazaki after good work by ex-Arsenal man Freddie Ljungberg.
Brosque's goal made it two from two for him, after scoring from close range in last weekend's 1-1 draw with Kawasaki Frontale.
The Aussie has also scored three goals in Shimizu's last five matches in all competitions.
The Socceroo was replaced late in the game, while fellow Aussies Eddy Bosnar and Joshua Kennedy did battle, both playing the entire match.
Brosque now has eight goals for Shimizu in all competitions this season.
