In their three regular season encounters this season, the Sky Blues won 4-1, 4-1 and 3-0 against Glory to hold an intimidating record.

Glory played a defensive counter-attacking game to perfection against Melbourne City in Sunday’s elimination final win, but have tried similar tactics against Sydney without a similar result.

“They might try that,” Brosque told Fox Sports.

“I think that was a part of their tactic against Melbourne City, they sat back and countered and did it well.

“I think it’s different. They tried it against us throughout the season and it didn’t work too well.

“Their strengths are definitely going forward, creating chances and they won’t be a team to sit back.

“They’ll be coming out trying to get as many goals as they can because that’s their strength.

“It’ll be interesting. We played them three times already and dealt with them all three times quite well.

“I think that’ll be in the back of their mind regardless of whether it’s a semi-final or not.”

Meanwhile, Brosque declared Johnny Warren Medal favourite Milos Ninkovic fit to face Glory.

Ninkovic was forced off in Sydney’s final round 2-0 win over Newcastle Jets after a nasty tackle from Ben Kantarovski left the Serbian with an ankle complaint.

The issue caused fears Ninkovic could miss the finals with coach Graham Arnold admitting after the game his star midfielder’s ankle was “sore and swollen”.

Ninkovic said last week “he’d play on one leg” if needed and was adamant he’d be okay to play, although he hadn’t return to training at that time.

Brosque confirmed Ninkovic has now returned to training and will be fit in a significant boost.

“He definitely will be,” Brosque told Fox Sports.

“He trained (Sunday) and (Monday). We’ve got (Tuesday) off, he’s looking sharp, looking good.

“It’s good to have him back out on the training pitch.”
