SYDNEY FC striker Alex Brosque can't wait to tackle former club Marconi Stallions tomorrow night as the Sky Blues continue preparations to defend their A-League crown.
In three seasons with Marconi, Brosque twice secured Under 21 Player of the Year honours before moving on.
"I always look forward to this preseason game the most out of any. I love this area and really enjoy returning to play here and against the Stallions," Brosque told Sydney FC's official website.
"The game is important for our preparation and putting things into place that we have been working on at training. I feel really fit so now it is about working on things and our combinations in a match.
"Marconi Stadium is a very short drive from home but it's still enough to get me really excited. I am really looking forward to this one."
Sydney's pre-season clashes have so far produced a 2-1 win at Manly and a 1-0 triumph against Macarthur Rams.
Brosque is predicting goals against Marconi.
"We are going to play attacking football and Stallions are going well and have scored a lot of goals so this game will be a good chance for the people to see goals," Brosque added.
"It is important for us to fine tune everything. The season is nearing and our game against Melbourne on August 7 is going to be massive and it's really important to start the season with a win but you need to be ready for that game."
Tomorrow's clash kicks off at 7.30pm, with tickets priced at adults $10, concession $5 and U16s free.
