SOCCEROO Alex Brosque scored his first goal in two months but it wasn't enough as Shimizu S-Pulse blew a two-goal lead to lose 5-3 to Kashiwa Reysol in Japan's J.League on Saturday.
The Australian attacker, who had scored six goals in all competitions all season prior to the game, netted on 63 minutes, driving forward before drilling home a cool finish into the bottom corner.
The goal put Shimizu 3-1 up, however the Japanese champions hit back with four goals in the final 20 minutes. The result sees S-Pulse slip down to 12th.
Elsewhere, Joshua Kennedy started and was replaced deep into stoppage time as in-form Nagoya Grampus drew 0-0 with leaders Vegalta Sendai.
Jade North returned after suspension as bottom-placed Consadole Sapporo were beaten again, going down 4-1 to Jubilo Iwata.
