Socceroos skipper Mile Jedinak appears set to stay put at English Championship club Aston Villa for the new season.
Jedinak, one of Villa's top earners, looked likely to depart the cash-strapped English club in the off-season.
But after developments in the club's ownership structure, Villa boss Steve Bruce said now he does not have to sell any of his players.
"The one thing that the new owners have said is that nobody is for sale," he said.
"That's music to my ears. We don't want to lose our best players. We all know in football that unfortunately these things do happen.
"But we will now be doing our utmosts to make sure these things do not happen and not let them go anywhere."
Jedinak made 28 appearances for Villa last season. The 33-year-old started in midfield in all three of the club's playoff matches and scored the winner against Middlesbrough.
