The Western Sydney Wanderers have released Kerem Bulut from his contract with immediate effect to pursue other professional opportunities.
The striker had fallen out of favour in recent weeks and has endured a goalless run in his second stint under Tony Popovic.
Bulut was overlooked for selection in the past four games with Brendon Santalab and Lachlan Scott getting the nod ahead of him.
“The Western Sydney Wanderers wish Kerem all the very best in the next stage of his football career,” the club said in a statement.
Fairfax Media recently reported Bulut was on the cusp of signing with a Thai club.
