Park Hee-do opened the scoring after just 50 seconds and after providing the assist for the early opener South Korea target man Jeong Shung-hoon added Busan's second just after the hour to bounce back from back-to-back defeats.

The home side had Paraguayan striker Jose Ortigoza sent off as Ulsan were prevented from moving to the top of the table after picking up four points from their opening two games.

Goalscorer Jeong said: "I think we wanted it more than Ulsan. We haven't had good results lately and we were very hungry for this win.

"As a team, our objective is to finish in the top six and make the play-offs."

Jeong played an active role in South Korea's qualification for the World Cup finals before suffering a serious injury and is looking to catch the eye of national team coach Huh Jung-moo.

"Personally, I still have the dream of going to the World Cup," he added.

"There is still hope and so I will keep doing my best."

Elsewhere, Daejeon Citizen and Gangwon also picked up their first points of the new campaign after playing out an entertaining 2-2 draw in Chuncheon.
