Tim Cahill today underwent an X-ray after the midfield talisman limped off in the 2-2 friendly draw at home to Werder Bremen.
The Australian, recently recovered from a broken metatarsal, was forced off during the match but assistant boss Alan Irvine insisted it was merely a precaution.
"He felt his foot which is a bit of a worry," he told EvertonTV.
"It is something we will check out and Tim will have an X-ray this evening.
"I have just been speaking to him now and he feels a lot better. It obviously gave him a bit of a fright about but we will just make sure he is ok.
"I thought he played well in the time he was on tonight."
The German side went ahead through Boubacar Sanogo and then Per Mertesacker made it 2-0, both goals coming in the first half.
Everton responded through James McFadden and Anderson de Silva
