The players have had a tough training schedule since touching down in South Africa but Cahill believes the hard work is starting to pay off.

"We've trained really hard for the last seven days and now it's all about playing some fluent football and making sure we play well," Cahill told AAP.

"It's always nice to get a good result but everyone's come off feeling really well. It's nice with how we played football and how hard we've worked."

Josh Kennedy's winner gave Australia their second warm up triumph following the late show against New Zealand and thoughts will now turn to the last hit out before the tournament gets underway with the Roos to face the USA this weekend.
