AUSSIES ABROAD: Socceroo Tim Cahill has produced some fine pre-World Cup form scoring two trademark goals in Everton's 2-2 draw at Aston Villa overnight.
The Australian international put the Toffees ahead on 23 minutes, when he found an inch of space inside the box to glance Leighton Baines' free-kick past Villa stopper Brad Friedel.
Villa replied on 72 minutes via Gabriel Agbonlahor but the impressive Cahill restored Everton's lead two minutes later when he converted Diniyar Bilyaletdinov's corner.
The Villains, though, claimed a point when Phil Jagielka put the ball in his own net in injury-time.
The goals took Cahill's campaign tally to nine.
In Turkey's Kupasi, Mile Jedinak's Antalyaspor won 1-0 over Trabzonspor on the night, but lost 2-1 on aggregate to bow out at the semi-final stage. Jedinak played a full game in the victory.
The former Central Coast midfielder also went close to scoring on 27 minutes when he fired in a powerful shot from outside the box which forced a good save out of the Trabzonspor stopper.
Moments later, Jedinak glanced a header narrowly wide from a Tita corner.
