Cahill is still recovering from a foot injury and after consultation with the player and his club, Osieck has decided that he would not be required in camp.

Osieck has selected an additional three players to join the Socceroos following the recent national teams training camp which was held last week in Duisburg. 

Midfielder James Holland will join the Socceroos squad after last playing against Slovenia in August last year, while fellow midfielder Adam Sarota and Danish-based forward Brent McGrath have both received their first ever call-up for the Socceroos.

Germany finished in 3rd place at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, is currently ranked 3rd in the FIFA World Rankings and most recently drew 1-1 with Italy in a friendly match last month. 

Germany will play Kazakhstan on Saturday in a UEFA Championship qualifier in Kaiserslautern.

This will be the fourth meeting of the two nations at senior men’s international level with the Germans victorious on each of the three previous occasions which includes their 4-0 victory over the Socceroos at the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa.

The Socceroos will have their first training session this afternoon at the Paul-Janes Stadion in Dusseldorf.
