SOCCEROO Tim Cahill says Everton are focused on carrying their Australian pre-season form into the Premier League in two weeks time.
The Blues are undefeated in the pre-season after five successive victories including wins over Sydney FC, Brisbane Roar and Melbourne Heart and the most recent coming at the weekend over Championship outfit Norwich City.
Cahill scored a hat-trick in the friendly fixture as Everton ran out 4-2 winners at Carrow Road.
The 30-year-old Australian international says he couldn't be more pleased with Everton's pre-season so far.
"The squad is unbelievable, now it's about maintaining it and making sure we can keep everyone fit," he told the club's official website.
"I always look forward to the new season but this time I think the preparations have probably been the best in my time at the club.
"I hope this time we can have a great start because I think it's important for us to take this form into the league, replicate our form from the end of last season and kick on."
After completing World Cup duties, Cahill played in the first two games of Everton's friendly tour Down Under before taking a well-earned summer break.
He says he is thrilled with how quickly the side has come together upon his return.
"To see the hard work pay off on the pitch early is great," he said.
"Obviously getting the goals is a nice bonus for me but we're playing nice, flowing football, keeping the balls well and we look like a really good team at the minute.
"There's maybe a little bit of pressure on us World Cup players because the lads have done so well over pre-season.
"It wasn't easy to come back after a break and come back into the thick of things, because Norwich are a good team. But overall, I'm very happy with how it went."
Everton open their Premier League campaign away to Blackburn on August 14.
