TIM Cahill insists he doesn't feel threatened by the goalscoring impact made by Marouane Fellaini since his arrival at Goodison Park.
David Moyes is facing a selection headache this weekend with Fellaini back in contention after serving a one-match ban.
Cahill says the addition of quality players to a squad is a positive situation and he isn't concerned about competition.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "I’m all for it. I think the best thing for me is to welcome players like Marouane with open arms.
“I’m happy for him because with a price tag like that people expect him to come in and do things straight away. It’s up to us to help him settle and make sure he scores more goals.”
Everton take on Middlesbrough this weekend with Pim Verbeek keeping everything crossed that Cahill emerges unscathed from the clash.
The Socceroos boss has already seen Craig Moore, Vince Grella, Matthew Spiranovic and Mark Milligan drop out of his squad to face Bahrain next week.
