TIM Cahill's sore neck is not a major cause for concern with Pim Verbeek adamant that the key Socceroo will be fine for the opening World Cup group clash with Germany.
Cahill scored Australia's leveller in the 3-1 defeat by the USA but made way at halftime after complaining of neck soreness after trying to reach for a header.
But Verbeek is confident the Socceroos star will be fine when the team resume serious training on Tuesday ahead of their clash against Germany in Durban on June 13.
"Timmy, a little bit of massage and he'll be fine," Verbeek told reporters.
"Maybe he could have played the second half, but why take that risk? It was just a ball wrong on his head, a bit unlucky."
Another injury worry, Harry Kewell, remained on the bench against the USA with Verbeek unwilling to risk him after only one full training session.
