WELLINGTON Phoenix’s home ground has rated one of the best underfoot and equal sixth best overall in the league, say Professional Footballers Australia.
A-League team captains rated Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium as best overall surface followed by Adelaide's Hindmarsh Stadium and in joint third Central Coast's Bluetongue Stadium and North Queensland's Dairy Farmers.
Overall, Phoenix's home ground Westpac Stadium tied with Sydney's SFS in equal sixth.
But in the category of "Hardness" in relation to a surface that's not too hard for top tier professional football, the Cake Tin came out on top along with Perth Glory's ME Bank Stadium. The worst in that particular category was Dairy Farmers Stadium.
