Former England defender Sol Campbell has left Newcastle, it was reported today.
The 36-year-old was signed last summer by then manager Chris Hughton, but he has made just a handful of appearances.
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew told the Evening Chronicle: "Sol's gone and good luck to him. He has been an icon in the game, but he didn't feature too much here."
