Crook has just been appointed first team coach at the English second tier club, assisting Norwich boss Bryan Gunn.

Leijer is desperate for first team football and Crook is understood to be a big fan of the former Melbourne Victory man.

A move to Norwich would allow Leijer to get the game he is so desperately lacking while providing the Canaries with a boost as they bid to pull clear of relegation trouble.

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson is all for the player getting some game time and said recently: "Really we think that a player of 23 should be playing regular first team football.

"We can't offer it to him here at the moment but we're pleased with him. He's a very, very good character. He's a good player but he needs to play."
