WORLD Cup hopeful Nick Carle is checking out Chinese Super League club Shaanxi Chanba as he looks to boost his chances of making the Socceroos plane to South Africa.
The midfielder has struggled for game time at Championship club Crystal Palace this season with the former Newcastle Jet seemingly not part of manager Neil Warnock's plans.
Now the Palace boss has revealed that a loan deal with a Chinese club is in the offing with Carle given permission to fly to China to explore a potential switch.
"We allowed Nick to speak to them and that is why he wasn't on the bench. He asked our permission to go and look at the place. He went late Friday and should be back by the middle of this week," Warnock told the South London Press.
"They are talking about a loan until Christmas."
Carle had been the subject on an approach from another Asian club earlier in the season but nothing came of it.
