NICK Carle is set to feature for Sydney FC against Rangers tonight and is tipped to get the green light from his coach to play in his favourite central midfield attacking role
To see Sydney train ahead of their Rangers clash tonight...
Carle is anxious for game time ahead of the A-League opener against Melbourne Victory following a frustrating spell with injury niggles.
"The leg is feeling excellent. I just need some matches now," Carle told AAP ahead of the clash with the Scottish giants.
"It's just a matter of getting some game fitness. I don't think anything compares to that.
"I don't think any sort of running compares to match practice, so from a player's point of view I really need to get some game time under my belt before the season."
Carle is keen to play just behind the two strikers and it seems Vitezslav Lavicka is happy to pursue that scenario.
Lavicka added: "He is able to play this position, he possibly will."
