In Turkey's Kupasi, Harry Kewell started and played 68 minutes as Galatasaray defeated Denizlispor, while Lucas Neill did not play.

Kewell was involved in Galatasaray's opener on 26 minutes, when his dangerous low cross from the left wasn't held by the Denizlispor keeper, allowing Elano to swoop from close-range.

In Holland's KNVB Beker, Brett Holman played a full game as AZ Alkmaar easily moved into the final eight with a 3-0 win over FC Eindhoven.

The Aussie had a chance to score too when, at 1-0, he received the ball inside the box after a good run, but fired his left-foot shot narrowly over.

Elsewhere, there was no game-time for Tommy Oar, Adam Sarota or Michael Zullo as FC Utrecht won 2-0 at AGOVV Apeldoorn.

In Czech Republic's Pohar CMFS Cup, Kerem Bulut was not involved as Mlada Boleslav won through on penalties after defeating Banik Sokolov 3-0 in their second-leg quarter-final match.

In Portugal's League Cup, Jason Davidson did not play as Pacos Ferreira defeated Leixoes 2-1 to progress to the final eight.
