FORMER Sydney star Dave Carney has won over Sheffield United fans even despite barely getting any game time with his new club.
He's been voted player of the month for the club by fans for his performance in the Carling Cup tie against Bristol City.
Although the Blades lost 2-0, Carney impressed in the game twice going close to scoring and constantly in the thick of the action.
He was the fans' player of the match in the game and now they have added player of the month to his tally.
"Former Everton Winger David Carney was voted as Blades-Mad Player of the Month for October after an impressive performance at Bristol City despite a 2-0 defeat," said the Blades Mad website
"The Blades lost 2-0 at Bristol City but the winger was handed enough votes during this game to be overall Player of the Month for October 2007."
Although the Blades lost 2-0, Carney impressed in the game twice going close to scoring and constantly in the thick of the action.
