Former Sydney FC star David Carney has spoken of his delight at his move to the English Championship and how much he’s enjoying life at new club, Sheffield United.
Carney made a bright start to his new stage of career with an impressive debut in the club’s Carling Cup clash with Chesterfield.
He was a key player on the night, constantly troubling the defence and almost scoring at least twice.
"Sheffield is really nice, the people are very friendly and I'm really enjoying it," Carney told the club's official website.
"I've learnt most of the lads' names and it's easier to settle in once you gain the respect of the players' on the field. Now I have to work my way into the starting line-up."
Carney played on both flanks on his first appearance and he is certain he will fit in with Robson's system, although he missed a start in this weekend’s game.
He said: "The style of England is fast and furious but we played some great football against Chesterfield and the gaffer likes that - I've come to a club that suits my game."
