Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has urged his team-mates to forget the loss of their 86-match unbeaten home league record and bounce back in style against high-flying Hull on Wednesday.
Xabi Alonso's deflected goal handed Chelsea their first league defeat at Stamford Bridge since February 21, 2004.
Rafael Benitez's side now lead Chelsea by three points at the top of the table but Cech is adamant they must not feel sorry for themselves as they prepare to face third-placed Hull at the KC Stadium.
"We have to bounce back," Cech said. "Defeats happen in football and you have to forget about it and start again.
"It has been a great run and I don't think anyone will get close to going 86 games unbeaten at home again - it is a fantastic record.
"It was a strange feeling for me at the end because I have never lost a Premier League game at home in my Chelsea career.
"But now it has ended we have to think of Hull on Wednesday. We have the same amount of points as them and we need to bounce back with a victory.
"We want to start another run now. We know what we have to do and have the strength to do it."
It was Liverpool's first League win at Chelsea since January 2004 and they are now serious title contenders.
But Cech warned Benitez's side that they cannot afford to get too carried away with their early success and targeted revenge against the Reds in the return fixture at Anfield.
"It is good for their confidence but there are a lot of games to go," added Cech.
"We have an away game against Liverpool later in the season and that will give us the chance to get back these points.
"They are top and genuine contenders. They didn't play very well at the start of the season but have been getting results.
"They did well against us. They were well organised. The plan was simple, to defend well and not allow us any space.
"We didn't have the space to create chances in their 18-yard box. It was decisive."
Meanwhile Alonso, whose strike was deflected past Cech off Jose Bosingwa in the ninth minute, insisted it is his goal.
"The shot was on its way towards the goal when it was deflected but that happens, that's part of football and you have to cope with these things when they go for you and when they go against you," he said.
"I could have had a second goal as well when the ball hit the post but the main thing is to get the three points.
"It was very important for us because in the last few seasons in the league at Chelsea we haven't had the best results.
"So we are really pleased to get the result and to take the three points."
