CHELSEA goalkeeper Petr Cech and Reading midfielder Marek Matejovsky have been named in the Czech Republic's squad for the European Championships.
Coach Karel Bruckner confirmed the pair in his 23-man travelling party but was forced to do without Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky, who is out injured.
Tomas Ufjalusi captains the side in Rosicky's absence but both he and the coach feel the absence of the playmaker keenly.
"It is a great honour for me, but when Tomas Rosicky returns, he will be captain again," confirmed the new Czech skipper.
Bruckner added: "He joined us after we had done out the tactical preparations and followed the game with us," Bruckner said.
"We would be happy if he could travel with us to Euro 2008, but that will be decided by his club."
