The Czech Republic international has moved swiftly to counter suggestions he was ready to quit Stamford Bridge.

Instead, Cech has revealed he and his agent, Pavel Zika, will discuss a new deal when the time is right.

"I would like to make it very clear to the Chelsea fans that I have no plans to leave the club," said Cech.

"My sole focus at the moment is next week's Champions League final and then the European Championships. I am very happy at Chelsea.

"I still have two years left on my contract and I believe that the club will sit down with my representatives at the appropriate time to discuss an extension of my current contract."

It is understood talks may even begin after the Champions League final in Moscow next Wednesday.

Cech has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world since joining Chelsea from Rennes for £7million four years ago.

He is believed to be earning around £70,000 a week but his salary could jump to £90,000 a week under the terms of a contract extension that would keep him tied to the Stamford Bridge club until 2012.

Chelsea are happy to open negotiations with the 25-year-old and their willingness to secure the keeper on a long-term deal is another indication of their desire to take care of business ahead of next season.

The club have already secured the services of Portuguese right-back Jose Bosingwa for £16million from FC Porto, and with Cech signalling his happiness to remain at the club, it is likely Chelsea will soon turn their attention to England midfielder Frank Lampard.

He has one year left to run on his current deal after talks over a long-term extension were put on hold last summer.

Both Lampard and Chelsea are keen to reach an agreement and talks are likely to recommence once the Champions League is out of the way.

Coach Avram Grant also insisted Cech and striker Didier Drogba would remain Chelsea players.

Drogba's future, like that of Cech, has come under intense speculation in recent days, but Grant declared: "Since I have been in football I know there have been many rumours. He [Drogba] has not said to me that he wants to leave, the club didn't decide they want him to leave, so for the moment I don't see any change.

"Petr Cech has his contract, he is happy, we are happy with him, I don't see any problem.

"Agents speak and they want the best for their players. Sometimes they do it in the right way, sometimes they do it in the wrong way, but I don't want to comment about what any agent says."

Grant also hinted captain John Terry and Drogba will be fit enough to face Manchester United in Russia next week.

Terry dislocated his elbow against Bolton in the final match of the season last Sunday and Drogba collected a knee injury.

"We haven't had training for two days so we will have to see at training tomorrow how they are but John Terry I think will be okay," said Grant.

"With Didier Drogba, I don't know how serious it is but I think he will give everything to play in this game."

The striker himself is confident he will be fine for the final.

"I took a blow to my knee that was operated on (back in December), and it hurt at the time," said Drogba.

"I put ice on it immediately. But there is nothing serious. I will be at training this week."
