Reports claim the newly-promoted Championship side have had three bids turned down for the 30-year-old, who has been the Swans' top scorer for the last four seasons.

City chairman Steve Lansdown told the Bristol Evening Post: "We are looking at several different forwards and Lee Trundle is a player we recognise.

"We have had a conversation with Swansea, but there is nothing further to report at this moment in time."

NORWICH have completed the loan signing of Chelsea midfielder Jimmy Smith, who will stay at Carrow Road until the end of December.

Smith, 20, spent much of last term on loan at QPR, scoring six goals in 22 starts - including one in a 3-3 draw against Norwich last October.

Striker Stephen Elliott has completed his move to WOLVES from Sunderland.

The 23-year-old Republic of Ireland international has signed a three-year deal after flying to Ireland to join Wanderers' pre-season tour.

SOUTHAMPTON defender Claus Lundekvam stepped up his recovery from long-term injury with an appearance against friendly opposition on the club's pre-season tour of Norway.

The centre-half, who suffered an ankle injury during the last game of Saints' regular 2006-07 season, featured as a 70th-minute substitute in the 4-1 win over Kvik Halden.

HULL have suffered another embarrassing blow in the transfer market after a move for SHEFFIELD UNITED striker Christian Nade collapsed.

The Tigers recently saw a bid to sign former Middlesbrough star Juninho amount to nothing and now Nade has rejected their incentive-based contract offer.

Hull manager Phil Brown had offered the 22-year-old a deal which would see him earn more money the better he played.

But with his wage based on appearances and goals, the former France Under-21 international has chosen not to accept the terms.

Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "We've spotted someone who has the potential to be a good striker, but I wanted to safeguard the future of this club by giving him an incentive-based contract. He wasn't willing to accept that and he has rejected the deal we offered."

Striker Jermaine Easter has again shrugged off speculation linking him with a move away from WYCOMBE.

The 25-year-old hit 24 goals last season, scoring in the 1-1 Carling Cup clash with Chelsea and also making his debut for Wales.

Easter has consistently been linked with a move away from Adams Park and admits he is ``sick and tired'' of the paper talk.

He told the club's official website, www.wycombewanderers.co.uk: ``I'm happy here and I've never questioned that but obviously every player wants to play at the highest level so if the opportunity arose, then it would be something I'd look at.

``But nothing's happened, there have been no offers so there's nothing I can say really. I'm sick and tired of the speculation and seeing myself in the papers and hearing this and that."

Winger Alex Frutos has parted company with BRIGHTON by mutual consent.

Frutos, now a free agent, scored three goals in 37 appearances for the Seagulls since arriving on a free transfer from Metz in August 2005.

MACCLESFIELD boss Ian Brightwell has signed experienced defender Luke Dimech on a one-year deal.

The 30-year-old former Mansfield man has spent the last year playing in Malta after leaving Chester last summer.
