Chelsea will be without defenders Gary Cahill and Cesar Azpilicueta for their FA Cup fifth-round tie against Middlesbrough on Wednesday.
Former Bolton man Cahill is currently suffering from a virus, while Spain international Azpilicueta has a leg problem.
Their absence hands Chelsea manager Rafa Benitez a selection dilemma at the back as he looks to get the Blues' season back on track following their 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday.
Chelsea reached the fifth round after overcoming fellow Premier League side Southampton and League One outfit Brentford, but only at the second attempt.
Should Chelsea win at the Riverside Stadium against their Championship opponents, they will take on Premier League leaders Manchester United at Old Trafford for a semi-final berth.
