The Real Zaragoza hitman is a major doubt for at least the Group H opener against Honduras on June 16 but coach Marcelo Bielsa has opted to take the risk of including him in the party.

Defender Roberto Cereceda was left as the odd man out as Bielsa took the final step in reducing a 24-man squad, with midfielder Marco Estrada also having been passed fit after a recent injury.

Bielsa had cut his initial squad down to 25 names a fortnight ago and quickly informed Toluca forward Hector Mancilla that his services would not be required.

Chile also face Switzerland and much-fancied Spain in the group stage.

Chile's World Cup squad: Claudio Bravo (Real Sociedad), Miguel Pinto (Universidad de Chile), Luis Marin (Union Espanola); Defenders: Pablo Contreras (PAOK), Ismael Fuentes (Universidad Catolica), Mauricio Isla (Udinese), Gary Medel (Boca Juniors), Gonzalo Jara (West Brom), Waldo Ponce (Universidad Catolica), Arturo Vidal (Bayer Leverkusen); Carlos Carmona (Reggina), Marco Estrada (Universidad de Chile), Matias Fernandez (Sporting Lisbon), Gonzalo Fierro (Flamengo), Rodrigo Millar (Colo Colo), Rodrigo Tello (Besiktas), Jorge Valdivia (Al-Ain); Jean Beausejour (America), Mark Gonzalez (CSKA Moscow), Fabian Orellana (Xerez), Esteban Paredes (Colo Colo), Alexis Sanchez (Udinese), Humberto Suazo (Real Zaragoza).
