Colo Colo defender Arturo Vidal and striker Alexis Sanchez have both been named after failing to make Nelson Acosta's senior squad for the Copa America.

Another striker, Mathias Vidangossy, who is joining Spanish club Villarreal next season, has also been named for the tournament that runs from June 30 to July 22.

"It was a very difficult decision as I had to cut four players that had been working with us for more than a year and half," said Sulantay on the trio's selection.

"We want to do our best and I'm very confident," added Sulantay, who also revealed he will be retiring after the competition.

The South Americans have been drawn in Group A at the U20 World Cup, alongside hosts Canada, Austria and Congo.
