Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi says he won’t be resting any of his key players against Australia as La Roja go all out for the win.
Chile have one victory and one draw in Group B with four points, but are not yet guaranteed progression to the semi-finals of the Confederations Cup. Victory over the Socceroos will ensure that.
There has been speculation that Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo and Inter Milan defender Gary Medel may be overlooked from the team that will face Australia in Moscow.
But Pizzi denied that is the case and paid credit to the Socceroos.
“Claudio is fit,” he said.
“He’s managed to train the last couple of days, and he’s ready and available to play. Obviously we are going to present the best squad possible. Reaching the semi finals is not yet in the bag.
“Whoever is going to play, our goal is always going to be the same. We are going to produce and present the best line-up possible. Australia is an opponent that is very fit and physically strong.
“Australia is a very experienced team. They have evolved tremendously in the past few years and this is the result of their participating in the Asian Cup with strong opponents. They are a confident team, enthusiastic, very motivated and they’re looking forward to the teams they are playing against.
"They also have the dream to reach the semi-finals.”
Pizzi has been in charge of Chile since January 2016 and led them to victory in the Copa America.
Midfielder Fracnisco Silva isn’t underestimating the Socceroos.
“We expect a very complicated game,” he said.
“It’s going to be a big challenge, it won’t be easy.”
