O'Higgins put a spin on their McDonalds sponsorship
Chilean Primera Division side O'Higgins unveiled their quirky new kit in their season opener against Huachipato, with McDonald's-inspired shirt numbers printed on the pink outfit.
O'Higgins are sponsored by the global food chain and decided to put a spin on the sponsorship deal rather than simply having the Maccas logo on the front.

Each player had their shirt number printed out in the shape of fries dipped in tomato sauce, with a carton of the chips featured at the bottom of the shirt.
However, it wasn't just the McDonald's inspiration that caught the eye of fans with the pink colour being questioned by some.
It certainly was a striking change from their previous kits, with the Chilean side's 2018 kits featuring a sky blue home kit and bright yellow away kit.
The kit certainly had mixed responses on Twitter.

Chilean club O’Higgins has been the victim of (by far) the worst sponsorships deal in the history of sponsorships.
Being sponsored by McDonalds the numbers on the back of the kits are fries...

While the new kit took made the headlines, O'Higgins will have been frustrated to their start of the season with a 2-1 defeat to Huachipato.
The Chilean team finished 8th last season and will be hoping their outlandish kits will propel them to better results despite their disappointing start.
