SCOTT Chipperfield has provided club and country with a boost after returning to action following a spell on the sidelines.
A urinary tract problem has kept Chipperfield out of the picture for several weeks but he pulled on the boots again this morning to take his place on the FC Basel bench.
He entered the fray on 66 minutes, replacing Valentin Stocker in a Swiss Super League clash with FC Aaru.
It was a happy return for Chippers as his team enjoyed a 3-1 win, netting the decisive third goal just moments after he appeared on the pitch.
Victory leaves Basel two points clear of closest rivals FC Zurich at the top of the table. Zurich do have a game in hand though.
Scott's next chance to get some game time under his belt comes in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Sporting Lisbon.
