EUROROO WRAP: Scott Chipperfield's hopes of ending the season with the Swiss title suffered a blow with Basel held to a 1-1 draw today by Bellinzona.
Chippers put in a full shift for his team and the home side led through Marco Streller's 33rd minute goal with just 14 minutes remaining.
However, Conti's leveller forced Basel to share the points and that was good news for title rivals Zurich.
They took full advantage of the slip with a 3-0 victory at FC Aaru. It leaves Zurich a single point clear of Chipperfield's team at the top of the table.
Elsewhere in Europe Spase Dilveski and Joshua Rose both started for Romanian side Universitatea Craivoa in their 1-1 draw against FC Brasov.
Still in Romania, there was defeat for Tomislav Arcaba as his Gloria Buzau team lost 1-0 at Pandurii.
In Croatia, Josip Skoko played an hour of Split's 5-0 drubbing of Croatia Sesvete.
