The Australian veteran, playing up front for Basel, nodded in on 61 minutes before racing off and comically celebrating the strike as FCB clinched their fifth league title since Chipperfield headed to Switzerland in 2001.

Chipperfield finished the season with 13 goals for Basel, with 10 coming after his return from injury in mid-February.
