Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has stressed how "vital" the Christmas period is to his side's aspirations in the Premier League this season.
The Gunners host Wolves on Tuesday, one of three games in the space of seven days, and Wenger knows only too well how the festive season can invariably make or break a club's season.
"(The) Christmas period in the Premiership is vital, you have to get your points. We have responded well from our defeat at Man City with a win at Aston Villa so it is now down to us to do the job at home and get the points," Wenger said.
The match was rescheduled from Boxing Day because of a planned London Underground strike.
"We wanted our fans to have a chance to come to the game, we analysed the situation and there was no fair chance for the fans to come to the game, so we moved the game to Tuesday," he said.
"We would have preferred to play on Monday but this was the best way to deal with the problem we had."
Wenger expects a "positive" Wolves side fighting for their lives at the Emirates.
"Wolves are a side who play good football, they are dangerous going forward and make it tough for everyone," he said.
"They have the Mick McCarthy spirit and attitude and they never give up. They play a positive game so we know what to expect and they are in a fight to stay in the league and it is a very intense game."
And the Frenchman reserved special praise for striker Robin van Persie, who leads the league with 16 goals, but said individual accolades were not important.
"I believe Robin Van Persie is the leader of our team but most important is that the team wins, the individual records are not vital for me."
"What is very important for us over Christmas is that we win our games and if we can combine both to help him to score as well we are even happier," he said.
