The 26-year-old has caught the eye of many after notching 13 goals in his first 13 games for the Tyneside club.

However, despite only arriving in England in January for 10 million pounds from Bundesliga side Freiburg, Cisse has admitted he eventually wants to move on to a bigger club.

Cisse told The Sun: "My long-term aim is to play for the biggest clubs and I want to win the Champions League. I have loved Real Madrid ever since I was a little boy.

"But I am happy for now at Newcastle. They are a big club - even though they are not a Manchester United or Manchester City."

The Senegalese international will be playing European football next season with Newcastle, after Chelsea's 4-1 defeat to Liverpool on Merseyside on Tuesday night confirmed a fifth-place finish for Alan Pardew's side.

However, with Europa League qualification in the bag, Champions League participation remains a possibility if they claim three points at Everton and Tottenham slip up at home to Fulham on the final day.
