Carrusca, 34, joins City on a one-year deal after leaving Adelaide United at the end of last season.

The Argentinean will wear the number nine shirt this season after it was vacated by compatriot Nicolas Colazo.

Carrusca is expected to feature against Sydney FC in the FFA Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me; a lot of players want to play here at this club and I want to be a part of what City are building, including its connection to its fans and its desire for more success," Carrusca said.

"I’m really looking forward to the chance to debut against Sydney on Wednesday. We’re three weeks out from the first game of the season so the players can’t wait to see our fans at AAMI Park.”

Meanwhile, City have promoted Crowley to the first team for the 2017/18 season.

The 20-year-old joined City last year as a scholarship player and has impressed enough for a first-team deal.
