Melbourne City have signed Boca Juniors attacker Nicolas Colazo on a one year deal, his manager has confirmed.
His manager Sergio Levington told Argentinian show Bocade Seleccion the forward was set to move to Melbourne.
He will join Bruno Fornaroli as a marquee player, while Tim Cahill is a guest marquee.
“Nico is on a trip to Italy to get an EU passport,” Levington said.
“It is all done for Colazo to play for Melbourne City of Australia.”
The 26-year-old will bolster a City side containing Tim Cahill, Neil Kilkenny, Luke Brattan, Josh Rose, Bruce Kamau and Fernando Brandan.
City play Western Sydney Wanderers in the quarter finals of the FFA Cup on September 21 at AAMI Park.
