Melbourne City are expected to unveil former Wigan and Manchester United reserves boss Warren Joyce as their new A-League coach on Monday morning.
The 52-year-old Englishman flew out of the United Kingdom over the weekend, according to The Daily Mail.
City have confirmed they will announce their new head coach on Monday morning.
The City Football Group's Brian Marwood has been tasked with finding the new City coach and knows Joyce well, given he's respected in Manchester.
Joyce managed Manchester United's Belgian sister club Royal Antwerp from 2006 to 2008, before joining the Red Devils set-up.
The Oldham-born boss co-managed the United reserves alongside club legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from 2008 to 2010, when he took sole charge.

Joyce spent a further six years as United's reserves boss, before being appointed manager of then-Championship club Wigan in November on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
Unable to revive struggling Wigan's fortunes he was dismissed in March, with the club later relegated to League One.
Despite his lack of success at Wigan, Joyce remains well regarded in Manchester particularly for his development work and given City's Mancunian links, it appears he'll be their new coach.
City have been on the lookout for a new boss after John van 't Schip resigned for personal reasons in January, with Michael Valkanis taking over on an interim basis.
The club confirmed the signing of veteran goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic on Friday, along with the loan extension of Anthony Caceres.
