Midfielder Jeremy Clement insists Paris St Germain still have work to do before their Ligue 1 status is secured for another season.
PSG took a giant step towards safety by beating relegation rivals Nantes 4-0 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.
It lifted the capital club to 15th position and they are now six points clear of the bottom three.
But Clement, who is yet to be on the losing side for PSG since his move from Rangers in January, has warned his team-mates to stay focused for the final five games of the campaign.
"It was important to take the three points (on Saturday) and we did what we had to to win," he said.
"Now, we must follow the same course and not celebrate too early. Staying up will only be assured when we are mathematically safe.
"We must continue to win our matches."
Clement has only recently returned from the foot injury he suffered just after signing for the club in January, and has slipped neatly into the centre of team's midfield alongside Edouard Cisse.
It has given PSG more balance, allowing Jerome Rothen to go over to the left wing, and that is a key reason why Paul Le Guen's side are currently on a four-match unbeaten run.
The modest Clement is refusing to take any of the credit, however, adding on club website www.psg.fr: "If I have adapted quickly, it is because my team-mates have helped and facilitated the task.
"It is thanks to them. But I am not thinking about that.
"The only important thing is that at the end of the season, PSG are safe. I think that with two victories, we will be in a good position to play in Ligue 1 again next season."
