Colo Colo clinched their third Chilean title in succession thanks to a 1-0 victory over Palestino in the final round of the Apertura.
Claudio Borghi's men had started the day one point ahead of Universidad Catolica and three above Audax Italiano in the race for the championship.
At one stage the title appeared to be heading to Universidad, who were beating Coquimbo following Esteban Fuertes' strike.
But Humberto Suazo made the breakthrough for Colo Colo 13 minutes from time to clinch the win and the title.
Universidad ended 2-0 winners in their match, with Fuertes also scoring the second, but the result proved futile.
Audax Italiano also won their final match against La Serena 2-1 thanks to goals from Fabian Orellana and Braulio Leal.
